Bellview Place Education Trust

This project involved the construction of a new 4 storey school building for 240 children and their teachers who were based in temporary buildings on site. The building was designed to sit on a split-level site, situated on the boundaries of two boroughs which added to its complexity.

Due to space constraints, a cleverly designed outdoor roof play area was developed. This multi-use games area (MUGA) was located on the roof of the building and surrounded with 2 metre high impact resistant glass to maximise efficiency of space, without compromising on safety.

The site constraints also required the development of a detailed logistics strategy to deliver the wide load modules through the residential neighbourhood. This plan was agreed with the neighbours as part of our neighbour liaison strategy. The project achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
