The delivery of a new 630 pupils school for Northmoor Academy included the demolition of the existing secondary school on the site and complex ground works to overcome significant topographical constraints including level variances to establish a 3 tier site in central Oldham.

A key challenge was to minimise the impact of works due to the site’s prominent town centre location, next to the local college and surrounded by residential properties and commercial buildings.
This project required extensive landscaping work including the development of the site which included a lower level carpark for staff, tiered external seating looking down onto an outdoor grass performance and play area featuring a network of pathways to the bottom tier where we constructed a new 4G sports pitch and four tennis courts complete with an external lighting scheme.
