Scottish Enterprise
The Edinburgh BioQuarter is a shared science campus for Life Sciences, where industry meets academic, and has facilities for medical care, study and innovation. On behalf of Scottish Enterprise we designed and built a new two storey flagship building on the campus.

A major part of this project was construction of laboratory spaces and so minimising contamination risks was essential. Our precision manufacturing method allowed the building to be manufacturing in a controlled setting off-site, greatly reducing dust or contamination levels on site.

The laboratory fit out included the supply and installation of a fume cupboard, laminar flow cabinet, incubator, gas outlets and water purifier. Also required was the installation of advanced ventilation and fire safety systems, capable of supporting a full-time laboratory.
